BluSky Trading Company
PropScore rates and ranks every futures prop firm using a precise five-point scoring system. Instantly compare payout splits, drawdown rules, and fees to find the firm that fits your style.
BluSky Trading Company is a US-based futures prop firm offering Premium (trailing/EOD drawdown) and Static evaluation plans with one-time challenge fees (some plans have monthly elements), account sizes from $25K to $300K, no minimum trading days, profit targets from ~$1,500–$20,000+, EOD or static drawdown limits, a mandatory close-all-positions 15 minutes before market close rule in evaluations (with auto-liquidation risk), news trading allowed, and support for platforms like Volumetrica. They feature multiple paths including Launch, Growth, BluLive (buffer stage), Sim Funded, and Direct/Instant Sim Funded options, with scaling/contract limits based on account size.
BluSky uses a trader-friendly 30% consistency rule during Evaluation and BluLive stages (no single trading day >30% of the profit target; if breached, the target increases only by the excess amount rather than failing the account). Some plans vary (e.g., 21% on Static Growth or 300K accounts, 50% on Launch). Daily Loss Limit (DLL) is EOD-based and active only during Evaluation (e.g., $600–$2,500 depending on plan/account; fully removed in BluLive and often in funded stages). Overall drawdown serves as the primary risk control, with additional profit caps in Sim Funded (e.g., stop after $5K daily/$10K weekly in some cases for review).
Daily payouts are available Monday–Friday with same-day processing via ACH if requested before 11 AM ET (otherwise next business day), minimum withdrawal $250. Initial payout caps ($300–$1,000 depending on account) are removed after the first successful payout. Profit split is typically 90% to the trader (10% to firm) in Sim Funded and Live stages. In most funded/live stages, no consistency rule applies to payouts once in full brokerage; early Sim Funded may have weekly caps that lift later, with no major hidden fees.

Traders mostly praise the static drawdown structure, phase resets, accessible tools, and generally clear evaluation path. Payout feedback is mostly positive, with several noting approved or daily payouts, but one reviewer reports a payout denial tied to being moved to live, while…
I have been doing the Blusky account for a while. I passed the eval and failed on the buffer stage, but I reset the buffer stage and am still working on building the buffer. I consider myself a beginner to intermediate trader. I find Blusky accounts easy to work with.
The static drawdown and resetting the buffer stage
cost
Love the rules, not the best on tradovate but only downfall is the amount of days to payout if your impatient.
Very easy rules to the account
Drawdown should be half the target amount
This account is very well balance. Great price fot the eval, static drawdown en eval and funded. Because of the static drawdown, max drawdown vs Total Profit Target becomes 1:1 very quickly if traded efficiently.
Static drawddown on eval and funded as well. Low cost for the eval.
Activation fee. However, the overall account cost is competitive.
Such a great firm to trade with! Affordable evals, great dashboards design, easy transactions.
The pricing structure.
The activation fee haha.
Had no issues with them, the reset at funded level is the best in the business, getting to a payout takes a bit of time
I've had a great experience with BluSky's Static 200k Launch. I did have to reset in the buffer stage once, it's great to have that option. Support have always been super helpful . BluSky is great for both beginner and experienced traders as there's a no activation fee option alongside a cheaper version w/ activation fee. Note: Static drawdown accounts are not as easy as they sound, usually (in BluSky's case) the drawdown is around 50% of what you would usually get in a non-static. This can make the eval and buffer stage quite slow if you're conservative like me. Payouts: Requested a payout at 2:04pm UK time and the money arrived in my Rise at 8:14pm.
- The ability to reset the launch account in the buffer stage - Mike in support is ace - Fast payouts, well above industry standard - Unique accounts - Clear path to Live - no funny business
- IMO: the 2-stage eval (eval + buffer) can be quite tough with an initial $1,000 static drawdown
One of the Best Prop Firms I’ve Used BluSky Trading has honestly been one of the best prop firms I’ve used. I personally prefer their Static accounts because they feel much more like trading your own real capital. What you make is yours to build on—you don’t have to worry about your buffer changing when the market closes and taking away progress you already made. For me, that makes the account feel much more natural to trade and manage. The payout experience has also been great. The very first day I became eligible for a payout, I submitted my request and it was approved. That says a lot about a firm. If I had to find something negative—and we’re talking about very minor negatives here—it would be the payout process. Using Rise seems to make actually receiving the money a little slower compared with some other top firms I’ve used, and the payout request/approval itself isn’t instant. But those are genuinely small complaints. There are so many things BluSky gets right that the few minor things I dislike aren’t even a blip on the radar. Between the Static account structure, straightforward rules, and actually approving payouts when you qualify, BluSky has quickly become one of my favorite firms to trade with. 5 stars from me, and I absolutely plan to continue trading with them.
The Static Drawdown
Using Rise as a payment provider
So far my experience with Blusky has been excellent. I've never used a prop firm with so many available and easily accessible tools.
The ease of use of all the tools available.
Maybe more contracts?
I really liked Blusky at first. I liked their stats. I liked their dashboard in general. However, they did two things that make me not happy with them: first, it is incredibly difficult to cancel a subscription with them. Even if you cancel it, the subscription still comes back and you have to file a ticket to get it canceled and refunded. I don't want to have to do this every single time. Another issue I have is the weekly payout cap is really low for how expensive the account is; I could tolerate that with the generous trading rules. The thing that really upset me and left a bad taste in my mouth is they put me in a live account after a week of payouts. I got my weekly cap of $3000 dollars the first week, no issues. The second week, I tried to take a payout and they denied it and transferred me to live. I'm not trading amazing by any means and I did not hit the $10,000 dollars that triggers a performance review. I hit a profit of around $6500 and didn't even get a payout from half of it. Honestly this just feels like a way to avoid paying me out. I have no desire to be live and I don't think I'll be trading Blusky anymore after I'm finished with these accounts I've already paid for. I don't get the point of having a 100k or 200k account if I'm going to be transitioned to live anyways and it will be like I had a smaller account to begin with. I now have next to no buffer.
The stats page and the dashboard. EOD or static drawdown is nice.
Low payout caps, payout denials by transitioning you to live immediately. Overpriced accounts compared to the payout caps.
Amazing Experience, Even though I lost a lot of accounts with them, they were amazing, plans are good, support is amazing. Finally got my payout 1, still net negative but no complaints
Amazing Plans Quick Support Understanding User's Issues
It would be great if they can add eligible payout amount on payout page. For example It shows 4000$ allowed to withdraw but rules only allow 2k. Sometimes my Ninjatrader doesnt execute my orders when it goes through like a flash, I assume there's nothing Blusky can do.
