Elite Trader Funding
PropScore rates and ranks every futures prop firm using a precise five-point scoring system. Instantly compare payout splits, drawdown rules, and fees to find the firm that fits your style.
Elite Trader Funding (ETF) is a US-based futures prop firm offering various evaluation types (e.g., 1-Step, EOD, Static Drawdown, Fast Track) with one-time fees, no strict time limits on many plans, support for futures instruments (including equity index/ETF-related like ES, NQ), platforms such as NinjaTrader, up to multiple accounts, trailing or static drawdown rules (e.g., often trailing unrealized profits initially then stabilizing), minimum trade durations to prevent HFT, and risk management focused on overall max loss without a fixed separate daily loss limit in all cases.
Consistency & DLL features a 40% consistency rule applied only to Elite Sim-Funded (funded) accounts—no single Active Trading Day (ATD) profit can exceed 40% of total accumulated profits (including prior withdrawals) at payout time (not applicable during evaluations/challenges); an ATD requires at least 23% of the best day's profit plus a minimum realized profit (e.g., $200 or $100 depending on account size), with 8 ATDs needed for the first payout cycle and 10 thereafter; drawdown is typically trailing (based on highest unrealized or end-of-day balance until a buffer is met), with no universal fixed DLL but enforced via overall loss limits and potential post-20% profit protections (e.g., no more than 35% drawdown from peak profits in some scenarios).
Payout Policy allows traders to keep up to 100% of the first $12,500–$25,000 in sim-funded profits (varying by account/updates), then typically 90% thereafter with lifetime sim profit caps (e.g., around $150,000); payouts are requestable weekly (often processed Wednesdays) after meeting ATD minimums and consistency, starting from low minimums like $100, with quick approvals in many cases but possible monthly activation fees on funded accounts and no major hidden fees noted.

Traders are split but lean positive on the evaluation experience, with many saying the accounts are straightforward, discounted, and manageable if sized carefully. Payout feedback is mixed: some report quick or issue-free payouts, while multiple reviewers report payout denials or…
The most underrated trading product out there. Perfect for any level trader. It has a 2k draw down, and a 4k profit target. (I'm now talking about pass the eval stage) The trading objectives that you have to meet are very achievable. 23% consistency for 8 days. 8 days min profit of 200. I thought that I had to make at least 2600 before they let you take a payout... I was wrong! It was sooner! Such a great and underrated product and firm.
Super quick payouts
Just need more clarity on what is considered a trade on the static funded account. I lost one account to inactivity even though I thought I met the min trading requirement for the account.
Might be as bad as APEX. ETF will not honor your payouts. I have been moved to live status upon immediately requesting a payout. Payout denied and moved to live to avoid payment. LIVE ELITE transition at the discretion of the risk team obfuscates path to live guides. Sim funded progress is voided during transition; essentially wasting 10+ days of trading. Accounts are expensive due to activation and LIVE ELITE accounts are rinky dink trash.

Moved to live to avoid payout. Automatic account closure to avoid payout request.
I copy traded five 50k one step accounts and passed the evals. I then copy traded the funded accounts. I unfortunately traded pretty much flawlessly making $200-$700 a day without having a single losing day for 9 days and completing the requirements to request the max payout of $1250 for each of the five accounts. I requested a $1250 payout on each of the accounts for a total of $6250. The next day after requesting the payout I receive an email that they are taking me live and giving me a live account with approximately $1900 in it and they DID NOT honor my payout request of $6250. I have never requested a payout from them or received a payout from them. So I was taken live with zero payouts and lost the payout I earned by being moved live. All I received was a live account of approximately $1900 that immediately has dropped to $1700 because of the $200 in professional data fees per month that come out of my account and I have to pay them 20% of anything I make with the 80/20 profit split for the live account. So basically the fees I paid to them for the prop accounts were used to mostly fund this live account and I received nothing. I could have deposited those fees into a live account of my own and not had to pay the 20% profit split or the $200 a month professional data fees. This is unethical in my opinion. They should have at least honored the 1st payout request and then taken me live but obviously they must be short on funds.
The rules are so out of date it's Crazy they are still in business they bush traders to rush their account with the renewal fees Module and data fees even after passing the Eval which is unheard of i would give them Thumbs up for how helpful the Dashboard was for first time users.
Only their Dashboard was the only thing positive about it.
They need to rework their Fees structure from account's prices to the removal of the monthly fees for the sim-Funded account's.
Got the DEF 50k on sale and initially had a good experience. Received my first payout with no issues. When I requested payout #2, I was suddenly pushed to live. Unfortunately I blew the live account, waited through the 14 day cooldown, then contacted support asking how to re-enter the live program through an eval again. Support told me they would send instructions, but after a month and several follow up emails, I never received anything. Since then, ETF support has completely stopped responding. Really frustrating experience due to the lack of communication and follow through.
Good sale at the time
14 day payout period in DTF
Decent firm to start beginner's account. However, $500 risk for $2000 profit for EOD is not ideal. The loss limit rule does not give freedom to the traders in the funded stage.
A lot of account options to choose
Loss limit rule
Frequently goes on 80% sale and a couple times a year 90% sale. One of the easiest accounts to pass in the business if you trade small size, 1-5 micros. Consistency rule in funded is different to other firms but overcomeable if you stick to trading small until you build a buffer. No trailing drawdown intraday or end of the day to worry about, just baby step to payout.
Static drawdown, Extremely cheap a couple times a year.
Consistency rule being different
Overall good. Just did not fit my trading style because the EOD does not lock at DD, which resulted in a blown account.
-Dashboard is pretty nice. -Cheap accounts at discount price
-Spell out drawdown rules better in the FAQ
ETF has a history of changing rules retroactively. I've had this happen to me twice. Both times it was a massive change that either could have, or did, result in the loss of my funded account. This alone has made me swear off doing business with them. Another thing I hate is that, at least for the Fast Track account I had, the monthly fee never goes away! You pay a subscription for the FUNDED account every month, forever. Totally unheard of!
They had a really cool flash sale on Fast Track accounts that allowed me to get a funded account very quickly.
Retroactive rule changes that materially change the agreement that you initially entered into with the firm. Neverending monthly subscription payments even after getting funded.
Very good firm, customer service takes very good care of you with any platform issues. Love this Diamond hands acct because it allows for swing trading so you can get those lovely trending moves. Definitely recommend!!
Swing trading ability, allows you to catch trending moves with ability to hold through CBDR changeover
Daily loss hard breach of 1500
